I have been a very lazy person for the first 28 years of my life. However, after diagnosed with some health issues, my doctor suggest me to reduce weight by doing exercises. As someone with very minimum fitness knowledge, I want to have a personal trainer with proper education and sufficient experience from the very beginning. Akhil was the director of personal training at the fitness club near my house. His qualifications exceed my expectation. Akhil is very knowledgeable about fitness. Instead of focusing on “pretty body parts”, his training emphasizes on correct posture and long term health goals. After just two month training with Akhil, I lost 7 kg and reduced my cholesterol level. Akhil is very accommodating with the training schedule as well. I strongly recommended Akhil to anyone who want not only nice body shape but also healthy overall condition.

I decided it would be a good idea to seek out a personal trainer because I wanted to learn proper workout techniques (such as correct form, body position, etc.). Since I started training with Akhi,l I definitely feel more confident doing exercises I normally wouldn’t attempt due to fear of injury. What I enjoy most about training with Akhil is his wealth of knowledge on proper form and body mechanics. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pursue a personal trainer, but after learning from Akhil I’m certainly glad I did. When I met Akhil at the gym, I didn’t have the intention of personal training at all. I considered myself to be fairly knowledgeable and in shape. After talking to him about his approach to training, I knew there was a lot I could learn from him. My sessions with him have been so worthwhile. No two training sessions were the same and I loved the intensity level of the sessions. I asked to incorporate kickboxing into my sessions, then we worked up to doing TRX. I would not have been able to do any of these things alone. I have learnt a lot about form that I will be able to apply to all exercises in the future. There was a huge difference when I would do plank alone versus when my form was corrected by Akhil. What really stands out about Akhil is his concern for his clients. While the sessions were intense, he always took into consideration my knee injury. I felt like he respected my training goals, and made a training plan that was personalized to work towards them. His positive energy and enthusiasm really made it fun to train with him, and I would be confident recommending him to anyone.

I was looking for a personalized fitness experience. I was recovering from an injury and I knew that going to a big corporate gym, and attending un-tailored fitness classes, was not going to help me. In fact they would likely exasperate my injury. I sought Akhil for personal training sessions. Since starting the program I have noticed an improvement in my posture and overall core strength. Akhil is the most trustworthy, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic trainer I have ever come across. He knew which muscle groups to focus on, which muscle groups were weak,  which muscle groups to avoid working because they were already overcompensating. What I like best about having Akhil as a trainer is his truly caring and attentive nature. He is incredibly knowledgeable and truly cares about meeting your specific fitness needs. He will design a fitness program specific for you. To someone on the fence about signing with a trainer, you really have to try personalized sessions with Akhil. Having a one on one trainer is essential to ensure you are doing exercises with proper form and critical to  exercising safely with maximum effectiveness. Going to a group fitness class or large gym, where exercises and equipment are often generic really should be avoided, especially if you have specific issues that you are trying to work through. I would highly recommend Akhil as a trainer.

I made my decision to work with a personal trainer because I have a shoulder and neck issue from a previous motor vehicle accident that I had 17 years ago. I’ve been out of the gym for about 3 years. My posture is poor, muscles are tight and I’m weak. Having a personal trainer gives me the confidence and motivation I need to start over without fear of hurting myself. It’s important to have someone showing me good form and reminding me to keep a good posture until I feel strong enough to move forward on my own. Personality is key and Akhil has got it! I enjoy training with Akhil because he is positive, knowledgeable and because he makes me feel comfortable and safe. Akhil listens to my concerns and always programs a workout that suits my needs. Also, if I ever have any quick questions or concerns I can always contact him. Everyone needs a boost once in a while. You’ll always learn new tricks on how to stay fit with a trainer and Akhil is a great motivator. I would definitely recommend Akhil. He is knowledgeable, experienced and a positive human being that motivates others. He betters me and others around him as a person and a trainer.

I’ve had issues with my shoulder for over 2 years, and having seen several chiropractors and physiotherapists without my shoulder issue being resolved, I was frustrated.  Akhil has helped me to improve my body awareness, and with new exercises and tools to do on my own, he has helped me to manage my shoulder pain tremendously.  More than that, during and between our training sessions he was always patient, thoughtful, encouraging and overall a great coach and person. To me, these qualities are equally important to understanding the technical aspects of training.  I would definitely recommend Akhil to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, understanding, and dedicated personal trainer and coach.

I was involved in a serious car accident in 2005 and had an extensive Rehab Team. Prior to working with Akhil, I worked with many other Personal Trainers, but never saw the same results as I did with him. Akhil is passionate about fitness and it shows through the energy and enthusiasm he brought to every one of our sessions. His easygoing, friendly personality created a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. He made each of our workouts challenging, creative and most importantly, fun! Where do I begin with what you have done for me? I guess Ill start from the beginning. You have known me for a very long time and I remember when you where at another location we knew each other and I was at my peak. Super lean. Extremely strong etc. What everyone wants to be. Then a lot of things happen in my life and the sad part is I forgot to look out for myself and my health started to slip and the weight poured on. After several years of not eating right and not in the gym as often I gained 90 pounds!! Wow actually typing that number down made me sick to my stomach. Simple things like tying up a shoe, walking up a flight of stairs, walking up a hill would make me gasp for air. I was in a bad place in my life and everything started to slip.
Eventually with all the stress a few minor health issues arose (all associated with the weight gain) which completely scared me to death. At this point I seeked Akhil for help because I needed a huge change in my life. With his proper nutrition plan and strict circuit training routine I have transformed my body. See I have never done a circuit program ever and now I wonder how I could live my life without one. I am stronger with a ton of endurance and I owe it all to Akhil. Since January 4th 2010 to May 19th 2010 I am down 43lbs and still dropping. Strength since January has double at least. People seem to have this idea that you have to starve yourself or that you cant enjoy your life but that not the case at all. For me cardio was the key and Akhil showed me the right way to do it to benefit the most. The marks of a good personal training he was able to identify my issues and understand my goals and caters to my needs.
I have energy that stuns my friends and it literally has been a complete transformation!!! I feel reborn again. I don’t burn out at the gym anymore I have energy all day and most importantly is I have my health back in check. You can have anything in this world but if your health slips what good are you. I owe my life to Akhil because without him I don’t know where I would be. He gave me something I lost a very long time ago, that I was craving for a while. Certain people come into your life at certain times and I am glad Akhil was there at this point because I know for a fact things would have been worse off without him. It’s true what they say. Once you start to look good you start to feel good. It’s a domino effect and its nothing but positive. Not only do you feel and look great but your body is healthy on the inside.
As far as I am concerned Akhil in my eyes knows his stuff and this is coming from a guy that has been training since I was 19 years of age. Just when I thought I knew everything there is to know about training, diet and cardio, Akhil comes by and opens a door to a completely different and undiscovered world. From the bottom of my healthy heart Akhil I thank you and more importantly I owe my health to you. Something that no dollar figure can be put on.

What makes a trainer special? Four trainers in, I believe that there are three keys: thorough knowledge of the human body, respect for the client’s goals, and most importantly, honesty. Honest with the client as to what can, and can’t be achieved. Akhil embodies all three of these keys, and much more. He helped me achieve my goals, and in the process, taught me how to maintain and further my current fitness levels. After all we can’t be with our trainers forever.
